What Are You Filled With?

It all begins with an idea.

Now it came to pass on a certain day, that he went into a ship with his disciples: and he said unto them, Let us go over unto the other side of the lake. And they launched forth. But as they sailed he fell asleep: and there came down a storm of wind on the lake; and they were filled with water, and were in jeopardy.
Luke 8:22‭-‬23 KJV

In verse 23, we see as the storm came the disciples were filled with water. How can they be filled with water? Easy. They allowed their external situation to affect them internally. Many times we can be at a place of peace and solitude inside, but when we get to work we are hit with complaining coworkers, crazy bosses, etc. and the next thing we know how are we behaving? 👀 Just like our situation! Why is that? The Word of God says, "...greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world" (1 John 4:4). The Word is true! Because the Word of God is true we know that we have dominion over every situation through the power of Jesus Christ because of the authority He gives to those who accept Him. When you allow your situation to fill you and have control over you, then you have relinquished your authority. Child of God, heir, joint-heir of Christ, do not abdicate your position of authority to anything today. Walk in authority! Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses.
Joshua 1:3 KJV

The Midwife Anointing

It all begins with an idea.

Scripture Reference- And it came to pass, because the midwives feared God, that he made them houses. Exodus 1:21 KJV

One definition we know of a midwife is someone who aids in childbirth. Okay, well that is true. However have you ever looked at the other definition?
A person or thing that produces or aids in producing something new or different.
BOOM! THAT PART! Did that just hit your spirit like it hit mine?

You need to pray for discernment when it comes to your friends and seek out the "midwife" spirit in them. Some people have that gift. They naturally push you into your purpose. They encourage you. They pray for you when you have no more fight left in you to pray for yourself. They tag into the ring to fight. They stay on the wall when you need to rest. They let you lean on them so you can sleep some. They literally will hold you up. They force you to believe in yourself when you can't believe. These individuals are truly gifted and if you find that you don't have someone in your friend group who has a "midwife" spirit you need to seek the Lord. Everyone needs midwife.

What’s In Your House?

It all begins with an idea.

Scripture Reference -

And Elisha said unto her, What shall I do for thee? tell me, what hast thou in the house? And she said, Thine handmaid hath not any thing in the house, save a pot of oil. Then he said, Go, borrow thee vessels abroad of all thy neighbours, even empty vessels; borrow not a few. 2 Kings 4:2‭-‬3 KJV
But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. 2 Corinthians 4:7 KJV

Elisha asks the woman what does she have in her house. I'm asking you the same thing this morning. What do you have in your house? Your house is not your physical home, but your physical body. Your body is your house for your spirit. Your treasure (spirit) is in the earthen vessel. The earthen vessel is your body (flesh) and when we die because we all will one day we will return back to the earth. She told Elisha she had nothing save a pot of oil. She had NOTHING IN HER HOUSE BUT THE ANOINTING!

Listen. I don't care what it may look like on the outside today, but if you have the anointing of the Lord on the inside of you today you have everything you need and MORE! Then Elisha told her to "Go, borrow thee vessels abroad of all thy neighbours, even EMPTY vessels; borrow NOT a few."

Some of you have friends you have been called to pour into who may need a cup. Some may need a teaspoon, some may need a tablespoon, some may even need a gallon, but guess what don't worry about that because Psalm 23:5 says your cup runs over 🙌🏾...you have an overflow and the Lord will continue to pour into you as you pour into others! Stop saying you have nothing to offer when you are sitting on an anointing! Stop saying you have nothing to build with when the Lord has already provided all of the tools necessary to build the house. Stop saying you can't when the Lord says you can do ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST WHICH GIVES YOU THE STRENGTH!

YOU'VE GOT OIL! NOW GO USE IT!

Bloom Where You’re Planted

Reference Scripture-Genesis 26:12

God told Isaac not to go to Egypt but to dwell in the land where He told Isaac to be, and guess what Isaac obeyed. God wants our obedience. In 1 Samuel 15:22, we see, "...to obey is better than sacrifice...." Because of Isaac's obedience, we see what God allows for him in Genesis 25:12, "Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the LORD blessed him." The ground will be blessed where the Lord plants you. Maybe the grass isn't green where you are because you planted yourself on bad ground 🤷🏾‍♀️ Let's be obedient in every area of our lives today

Even the Dogs Get the Crumbs

Reference Scriptures-Matthew 15:25-26

Here, we see the Gentile woman interceding on behalf of her demon-possessed daughter. Jesus doesn't respond initially. Why? He says to His disciples that He only came to the lost sheep of the house of Israel (vv.22-24). ‭John 1:11 says, "He came unto his own, and his own received him not." When the Jewish people rejected Jesus, He made sure that His gift of salvation was extended to everyone. But, before that, we have this conversation between Him and this Greek woman that we are focusing on. In verse 22, she says, "Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou Son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil." Verse 23, "But he answered her not a word." What happens when the Word doesn't respond to your plea? Why did Jesus not respond to her at first? Why did He delay His response? Was it to torture her? Was it to make her mad? No. He wanted her to take her focus off of the problem and worship Him! So many times we just come to the Lord with our prayer list, we do not even spend time with Him in His Word. We drop our "honey-do" list at His feet and expect our prayers to be answered in a timely manner, which for us is always immediately. No, He wanted sis to worship first, and guess what? She did worship. And when she put her worship over the situation, when she made her worship BIGGER than her problems, when she sought the kingdom of God first (Matt. 6:33), her worship caused an interruption because we see in the next verse (26), "BUT..." Jesus had just told his disciples that He didn't come to the Gentiles, but to the Jews (24), that "But" shows us that He honored her request when she worshipped Him. Her reaction time was quick. So many times, we try everything else before we worship. We try social media, we try our family and friends, and we may even revert back to the things of the world that we thought solved our problems. We make worship the last resort when it should always be our first resort when we come to the throne of Grace. Today, no matter what you are going through, make your worship greater than your problems
